Bitcoin Meetups: The Heartbeat of Adoption

JP has been studying Bitcoin for 12 years and from 2018, co-founded and hosts Bitcoin Sydney, an educational and social group focused on helping existing Bitcoiners and general public understand and get involved in this burgeoning ecosystem. He also presents talks to other community groups on the necessity of owning Bitcoin.

His other topics of interest include Bitcoin Game Theory, Bitcoin as sound money/savings tech, Bitcoin satellite connected nodes (first to run one in Aus), Why Bitcoin is the only blockchain that matters, and Bitcoin history.

Keypleb is a founder of Code Orange Dev School, a Bali-based initiative empowering bitcoiners, developers and community leaders in financially repressed Asian regions with technical Bitcoin skills. The school strengthens Bitcoin's decentralisation and security by growing a bitcoiner social layer through online and in-person community building.

Through advanced in-person workshops, online study cohorts and train-the-trainer program, Code Orange Dev School drives adoption by addressing the shortage of Bitcoin developers and node runners, targeting 21,000 new full nodes deployed by 2030.

Before launching Code Orange Dev School, keypleb co-founded Bitcoin House Bali and helped establish 36+ monthly meetups across Indonesia since 2022.

BTB is Director of Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong, which hosts one of the longest-running public Bitcoin Meetups in the world. He is also the convenor of BTC Chamber of Commerce and a core member of Digital Asset Think Tank. Career-wise, he is developing blockchain applications and a new economy built upon Bitcoin as the base layer.
