**Giovanni Santostasi, Ph.D.**
Giovanni Santostasi is a physicist, researcher, author, and founder of the Scientific Bitcoin Institute. He holds a Ph.D. in Astrophysics and has worked across computational neuroscience, neural networks, biophysics, complex systems, and the scientific study of consciousness, intelligence, memory, and sleep.
He is best known for discovering and developing the **Bitcoin Power Law**, a scale-invariant model describing Bitcoin’s long-term growth as a socio-technical complex system. For more than a decade, Santostasi has studied Bitcoin not simply as a financial asset, but as an emergent network phenomenon shaped by adoption, infrastructure, energy, computation, and collective human behavior.
He is the author of *The Physics of Bitcoin*, where he explores Bitcoin through physics, complexity science, scaling laws, and network theory. Through the Scientific Bitcoin Institute, his mission is to advance rigorous research, statistical tools, education, and academic collaboration around Bitcoin as a scientific object of study.
